A group of 14 or more usually means a block of hotel rooms on different floors, and nowhere to be together except the lobby. A villa keeps everyone in one house: a private pool, a kitchen and a dining table big enough for the whole group, and bedrooms for every family or couple.
We have 7 villas that sleep 14 or more, 6 to 11 bedrooms, in the Venetian Islands, North Miami Beach, Fort Lauderdale and Miami Shores. Rates run $1,850 to $11,500 a night, before fees and taxes, which for a large group is often less per person than the equivalent hotel rooms.
"Sleeps" is the most guests a villa takes in real beds. Check the sleeping arrangements on each villa page to see how the bedrooms are set up (king, queen, twins or bunks) and how many share a bathroom.
Think about where the group will spend its days. Island and bayfront homes suit boat days and sunsets; homes in Miami Shores and North Miami Beach are quieter and closer to the northern beaches; Coral Gables and Coconut Grove are leafy and close to the city and the airport.
House rules differ from villa to villa, and many homes do not allow parties or events. Tell us what you are planning when you enquire, a birthday dinner, a rehearsal dinner or a small celebration, and we will suggest a home where it is welcome.
Our concierge handles the logistics a big group needs: airport transfers in a Sprinter or several cars, a private chef for the first night, restaurant tables for 16, a yacht day and anything else on the list.
