The Torch Red Corvette C8 Stingray seats 2, reaches 194 mph and makes 495 hp, and rents for $445 per day.
A Corvette C8 Stingray convertible in Torch Red, with two seats and a naturally aspirated 6.2-liter LT2 V8 mounted behind the cabin. It makes about 495 hp, with peak torque of 470 lb-ft, and an eight-speed dual-clutch gearbox sends that to the rear wheels. Sixty mph comes up in around 3.0 seconds, and top speed is about 194 mph. Launch control and a set of drive modes come with the car.
The roof is a power hardtop that folds away in a few seconds, and the car can be driven with it up or down. Outside, the red paint is paired with silver split-spoke wheels, black brake calipers, black trim in the side intakes and silver exhaust tips.
Inside, the seats are red. Red stitching runs across the dark dashboard and the squared-off steering wheel, which has a red marker at the top of the rim. A tall center console divides the two seats, and the instruments are digital.
It is one of two C8 Stingrays in the fleet; the other is Rapid Blue. With the roof folded, the red car suits a slow evening drive up Collins Avenue.
